the meeting.

Dr. Morrill distributed copies of
motions approved by the HLC regarding Highland Park Manufacturing Co. Mill
No. 3 at the HLC November 13th meeting.
3. Consideration for an
Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness:
Highland Park Manufacturing Co.
Mill #3, 2901 N. Davidson St., Charlotte, N. C.
Mr. Dalton was present in support
of the Application for a Certificate of Appropriateness. He showed a
miniature model of the proposed projects, parking pavers, and design
plans. Mr. Dalton explained all the work that is proposed. Mr. Yelverton
made suggestions and comments. Committee members expressed concerns and
questions were addressed by Mr. Dalton and Mr. Yelverton.
Ms. Cox left the meeting at this
point - 6:30 p.m.

MOTION SECONDED BY MS. BOS TO RECOMMEND TO THE HISTORIC LANDMARKS
COMMISSION THAT THE TEXTURE AND PALETTE OF THE PAVING MATERIALS FOR THE
URBAN SPACE BE ACCEPTED AS PRESENTED IN THE APPLICATION FOR A CERTIFICATE
OF APPROPRIATENESS FOR THE HIGHLAND PARK MANUFACTURING COMPANY MILL NO. 3,
2901 N. DAVIDSON STREET, CHARLOTTE, N. C. THE COMMITTEE UNANIMOUSLY
APPROVED THE MOTION.

COMMISSION TO APPROVE THE PLANS FOR THE EASTERN ENTRANCE ON THE

FACADE, SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO THE FULL HEIGHT OF THE ORIGINAL OPENING AS
PRESENTED IN THE APPLICATION FOR A CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS FOR THE

THE MOTION.

The Committee agreed that the
monthly Design Review Committee will be held seventeen days after the
monthly HLC meeting beginning January 2001.
