A Ride on 85

The trolley's a wonderful thing you see,
And to hear all about it just listen to me.

The wheels go clickety-clack-clack-clack,
While the trolley goes down the track, track, track.

Old cotton mills changed right into,
Shopping centers galore for the public like you.

An old A&P, deserted and rustic,
Holding mysterious treasures, old, with memories viatic.

The trolley is painted a nice evergreen.
When it goes down the track it's sure to be seen.

A policeman on board makes sure traffic is clear.
A bright, little bell says to traffic, "I'm here."

One motorman tells stories to those who will listen.
When the oustide is wet the trolley seems to glisten.

With a lit, heated inside and shining without,
When you ride the trolley, with joy you shall shout.

The bell rings again to announce the arrival,
Now go hitch a ride and give it a trial.
