to recommend the Southern Public Utilities Streetcar Barn for designation as
a historic landmark. The Commission will need to vote on this issue again
after taking into account the information provided in the Survey and

Item No. 8. Recommendation on Historic Landmark designation for the
Charlotte Coliseum (Former) and Ovens Auditorium.
The Historic Landmarks Commission tabled this issue until such time as the
Coliseum and Convention Center Authority responded to the prospect of
historic landmark designation for the subject property. The Authority

suspend at present processing the subject property for historic landmark
designation and seek to establish a formal relationship with the owner to
assure that future changes are sensitive to the historic character of the
buildings.
