Schoolhouse. The Commission has completed the restoration of the
building and has it listed for sale with Percivials for $490,000 -- the
approximate amount spent on the acquisition of the property and
restoration of the building. The property is zoned B1. There
have been no offers on the building since it was first offered for sale at
the beginning of this year. It is located on Bob Beatty Road in the
Huntersville vicinity. The next step is to sell the
property. |

| McAuley
House. Withrow Properties will donate the house and outbuildings
to Mecklenburg County that will then transfer the house and outbuildings
to the Historic Landmarks Commission. The Commission will have to
move the house and outbuildings to another location by March 15m 2001 or they
will be demolished. Two possible sites have been located. The house
is located on Alexanderana Road in the Huntersville vicinity The
next step is to determine whether any or all of the structures can be
moved. |

Alexander Plantation. The Commission has an approved budget of
$1.1 million for this project. The Commission owns 4.63 acres and
five structures -- house, barn, garage apartment, well house, and chicken
house. The barn, a massive structure, will be substantially
demolished by the end of September. Property is located on W.
Mallard Creek Church Road. Next steps: Finalize design
contracts. |

Cotton Mills. The Commission has an approved budget of $4
million for this project. Closing is scheduled for about November
1st. The property is located on West 5th and North Graham St. in
Uptown Charlotte. Next steps: Finalize design contracts. |

Farm. The Commission has submitted an offer to purchase the
house and approximately 140 acres. No response has been received
from the owner. The property is located on the Huntersville-Concord
Road in the Huntersville vicinity. Next Steps: Await County
Commission approval to purchase property with land bank bonds. |

| Ratcliffe-Otterbourg
House. The Commission has submitted and offer to purchase the
house from Historic Charlotte, Inc. The house is located at 2100
Randolph Road in Charlotte. Next Steps: Await a response
from the owner and, if possible, move ahead with the acquisition of the
property. |
