Charlotte Cotton Mills

Phase II major interior and exterior stabilization is complete.  Remaining work on this contract is on the exterior.  Bids for fire sprinkler system upgrades were received on 17 Jan 03.  Phase III Interior Up fit design documents are complete.  Bids will be received on 6 Feb 03.

Oehler Farm

Stabilization Design Continues.  2nd Design review is underway by staff.

Rozzell House

Architect is approx 90% complete with construction drawings to reflect changes requested by   Design Review and Projects committee.  Staff has completed a second design review.  Awaiting review comments from NC Dept. Achieves and History.  Architect & PM will meet @ the site on 30 Jan 03 with NC Dept. Achieves and History representative.

McAuley House

Stabilization Design is on hold due to access to site and weather conditions.  Purchase offer has been retracted.

Palmer Fire School

Staff has completed due diligence items requested by purchaser.  Anticipated closed date late February 2003.

George E. Davis House

No Status Change.  Architect for JCSU has advised that rezoning has been approved, October 02.  County Attorney is awaiting documentation from JCSU Attorney concerning property transfer.

Croft School House

Discussions continue with MECA Properties and the potential purchaser concerning tax credits, etc.

W.T. Alexander Plantation

Exterior restoration continues.  Progress has been drastically impacted by weather conditions. Draft RFP will be available @ the 3 Feb Projects Meeting

Grier-Rea House

Demolition of Krueger House is complete.  Site preparation for foundations has been completed.  Foundation construction is anticipated to begin during the week of 27 Jan 03.  House to be relocated to the new site during the week of 10 Feb 03.  Progress has been extensively delayed due to weather.

Grier House

Purchase is complete.  Site cleanup and exterior hazardous material removal has been completed.  Architect anticipates beginning documentation of existing conditions in early Feb. 03.  Building has been boarded up to prevent vandalism.  Portrait Homes anticipates construction to begin in Feb 03 with their model units to be open in Oct 03.

Trolley Car Barn

Defer for Consulting Director.

Rural Hill School House

Bids for construction were received on 29 Jan 03.  Architect will be @ the 3 Feb 03 projects Committee meeting to present results.  A request for additional funding will be required to complete installation of two restrooms @ the facility.  Additional information will be presented @ the meeting.
