Photographs of Croft Schoolhouse Restoration

May 5th  This is what the Croft Schoolhouse looked like when the Commission started the project.  The tarp on the roof was torn to shreds.  The foundation was collapsing.  The siding was falling off the building.
May 11th  The first job was to reconstruct the foundation of the building.  This involved jacking up the building, replacing rotten sills, and building new piers.

June 4th  Next we began the rebuilding of the roof.  Water entered the building by the bucket whenever it rained.  Water will eventually destroy any building if it is not protected.
June 11th  The entire rear wall of the Croft Schoolhouse was structurally unsound.  Here you see that it has been removed in preparation for the construction of an entirely new wall system.
